About Us!

Housed in a historic and lovingly restored former cattle barn overlooking the rolling hills of Alpine Valley Ski Resort in Munson Township, the Brown Barn Tavern celebrates all things local and authentic. Punctuating the rustic, all-American gastropub ambiance are soaring 30-foot ceilings with rough-hewn beams, hand-made live edge tables and a second floor loft space for private events that was once the barns hay loft in the late 1940s.

Independently owned and operated by local residents Marco & Jackie, their vision for a welcoming, hospitable and passionate tavern focused on treating guests like family. Our culinary team of talented chefs elevate classic American dishes to flavorful heights with our eclectic 90% scratch menu.

Our goal is to know your families, friends and guests helping to build a strong community through great service, great atmosphere and great food.

    Yes, our spacious patio seats about 30.

  • Do you have a private room there for parties?

    Yes, our loft on the second floor provides the ideal spot for any event with up to 50 guests. It offers ample views of the Alpine Valley and restaurant itself. 

  • Do you offer catering services?

    Yes, we can cater functions either here or off-site for any size group. 

  • Do you have live music?

    Not at this time.

  • Do you take reservations?

    Yes. While we do welcome walk-in diners, reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends.
